Wausau School Foundation is pleased to be able to offer the following programming:
The Waldron Fund: supports area students in emergency need situations.
Reach for the Stars Grants: funding for innovative, beyond-the-lesson-plan ideas to spark student engagement and success. Some examples include playground items, smart reading rooms, the arts, community interaction and more.
Caught in the Act Awards: recognition program that allows staff, students or parents to nominate district employees for their outstanding service to students, school and the community.
The Sparkle Award: recognition to a community member, non-school district employee, who goes the extra mile for students in the Wausau School District. This can include bus drivers, crossing guards, friends, parents, and more! Nominations accepted ongoing throughout the year.
Scholarships: A $1000 scholarship will be awarded each year to a graduating Senior at Wausau East and Wausau West. Online and manual applications are available.


Special Funds and Scholarships –
WSF works with local organizations and individuals to house special funds for specific programs or scholarships. For more information on current funds or establishing your own, please contact WSF.

- Friends of Lincoln Elementary School – an alumni group supporting the school with funds for books, projects, field trips and more
- Wausau East Classes of 1977 and 1978 Scholarships
- Aaron Frank Memorial Scholarship
- Wausau East Reunion Funds
- Wausau West Reunion Funds
Wausau School Forest –
Environmental Learning Center
WSF had the pleasure of assisting Wausau School DIstrict in raising $500,000 toward the completion, furnishing and additional needs of the new Environmental Learning Center and Wausau School Forest. WSF continues to assist with this ongoing program for the enjoyment of countless students and community members.
