Thanks to the generosity of individual and corporate donors,
Wausau School Foundation is pleased to be able to offer the following programming:

The Waldron Fund: supports area students in emergency need situations.

Reach for the Stars Grants (Take out Teacher): funding for innovative, beyond-the-lesson-plan ideas to spark student engagement and success. Some examples include playground items, smart reading rooms, the arts, community interaction and more.

Caught in the Act Awards: recognition program that allows staff, students or parents to nominate district employees for their outstanding service to students, school and the community.

The Sparkle Award:

recognition to a community member, non-school district employee, who goes the extra mile for students in the Wausau School District. This can include bus drivers, crossing guards, friends, parents, and more! Nominations accepted ongoing throughout the year.

Special Funds and Scholarships –

WSF works with local organizations to house their special funds for scholarships and projects. These include:

  • Friends of Lincoln Elementary School – an alumni group supporting the school with funds for books, projects, field trips and more
  • Wausau East Classes of 1977 and 1978 Scholarships
  • Aaron Frank Memorial Scholarship
  • Wausau East Reunion Funds
  • Wausau West Reunion Funds

Wausau School Forest –

WSF had the pleasure to assist the Wausau School Foundation in the development and building of a new education center at the Wausau School Forest. Prior to the election referendum, WSF helped raise funding for the infrastructure work, such as electrical and fiber-optics for internet and communication. WSF continues to assist with additional needs for the completion of this project.
