Caught in the Act Award

The Wausau School Foundation is pleased to annually acknowledge outstanding Wausau School District staff. Caught in the Act is a peer-based nomination program established to celebrate those in the Wausau School District who truly go above and beyond for their students, schools and the community. The only award of its kind in the district, Caught in the Act recognizes the dedication and efforts of individuals who strive to make the world a better place for youth in our community.

Nomination Information:

Who Can Nominate:
District staff are welcome to nominate a recipient for the award. That person should have firsthand knowledge of the actions of the person(s) they wish to nominate. A person/group may only be nominated once for the same program or project.

Eligibility:
The nominee must be a Wausau School District employee who has gone above and beyond their duties in their work to make an impact primarily on students but also in their school and possibly the community.

Nominations for Caught in the Act due no later than April 1 each year. 

Awards:

  • The Wausau School Foundation will review and make all decisions regarding awards.
  • The winning nominees will receive:
    • A certificate that becomes part of their permanent work record
    • A gift from the Wausau School Foundation
    • Recognition on a school plaque
    • Social media recognition on the WSF sites
